INDUSTRIES

Where this systemactually fits

We are a young company and we would rather describe the buying situations this work suits than claim a client list in every sector. If your situation is on this page, the diagnosis will be quick.

SECTORS

Five situations werecognise immediately

Each one has a characteristic failure. Read the pattern rather than the label, because the pattern is what decides the starting stage.

01

Software and SaaS

The situation

A product that has to be understood before it is bought, sold to a team rather than a person, with a trial or demo in the middle of the decision.

Where it leaks

Traffic arrives on feature pages and leaves without a demo request, because the visitor's actual question is about their own edge case and nothing on the page answers it. Meanwhile the demo queue fills with people who were never going to buy.

Usually starts with

An assistant that answers the edge-case question from real product documentation and qualifies before the demo is booked, so the sales calendar holds fewer, better conversations.

02

Professional and B2B services

The situation

Consulting, legal, accounting, engineering and agency work, where the buyer is comparing firms on judgement rather than on a spec sheet.

Where it leaks

The firm is invisible for the problem-shaped searches that happen before anyone searches for a supplier, so the shortlist is formed elsewhere and the firm only competes on price at the end.

Usually starts with

Search work built on the questions asked before a supplier is chosen, so you are in the room while the shortlist is being written rather than after.

03

Industrial and technical suppliers

The situation

Components, equipment, materials and specialist manufacturing, where a specification decides the sale and the buyer is often an engineer.

Where it leaks

The catalogue exists as a PDF, the specification questions arrive by email and take two days to answer, and the enquiry that could not wait went to whoever replied first.

Usually starts with

An assistant working from the actual specification documents, plus the technical pages that let those specifications be found at all.

04

Logistics and cross-border trade

The situation

Freight, sourcing, fulfilment and trade services, frequently with a Hong Kong, mainland China or wider Asia leg in the route.

Where it leaks

Enquiries arrive constantly, but most are unqualified rate-shoppers with no volume behind them, and the ones worth having are buried in the same inbox.

Usually starts with

Qualification and routing: the definition of a lead worth a call, captured at the point of enquiry and routed to the person who can quote it.

05

Training and education providers

The situation

Professional training, certification and corporate learning, where an individual researches and an employer signs off.

Where it leaks

High interest, low conversion. The researcher has eligibility, format and funding questions that no page answers directly, and the enrolment form asks for commitment before the answer.

Usually starts with

An assistant that answers eligibility and format questions immediately, backed by search pages built on the same questions.

THE COMMON SHAPE

The sector matters lessthan these four things

If all four are true, the industry label is largely irrelevant and the work transfers cleanly.

The purchase is considered

Someone researches before they contact anyone. That research window is where the whole system operates. Impulse purchases have no window to work in.

A human closes it

The outcome we optimise is a qualified conversation, not a checkout. If the transaction completes without a person, the wrong things get measured.

The answer can be written down

Assistants are built from documents, not improvisation. Where the product knowledge exists only in one person's head, that is the first thing to fix.

Deal value justifies the work

A system that produces a smaller number of qualified conversations only pays for itself when a conversation is worth having. Low-value, high-volume selling is a different discipline.

Poor fit

Where we would tell you not to bother

These are not judgements about the business. They are situations where this particular system does not earn its cost.

Consumer ecommerce, where the conversion is a checkout rather than a conversation
Anything sold on price alone, where research does not change the decision
Regulated categories where the claim cannot be published or the data cannot leave the building
Businesses with no capacity to take on more qualified conversations than they already get

Next step

Tell us the pattern, not the industry

Describe where it stops working and we will tell you which stage to touch first, including when the answer is none of ours.
